“Every child’s potential is within reach — it just needs the right hands to guide it.”
With early support and the right guidance, challenges in daily activities and motor skills can be improved and we’re here to help make that journey smoother.
At Light Child Development Centre, we’ve supported many children and families in strengthening essential life skills through Occupational Therapy. We understand that every child develops differently with unique abilities, comfort levels, and learning styles.
Our therapists create a warm, engaging, and structured environment where children build independence, confidence, and coordination through play-based activities and sensory experiences helping them succeed at home, school, and beyond.
Occupational Therapy (OT) helps children build the skills they need for everyday activities from holding a pencil and dressing independently to improving focus and coordination. It supports physical, sensory, and cognitive development, helping children participate confidently at home, school, and play.
Children may benefit from OT if they show signs such as:
Difficulty with fine motor skills (e.g., writing, buttoning clothes)
Poor balance, coordination, or posture
Trouble focusing or following instructions
Sensitivity to touch, sound, or movement
Delays in self-care skills like eating or dressing
Challenges in playing or interacting with peers
Early identification and therapy can make daily activities easier and more enjoyable for the child.
At Light Child Development Centre, our Occupational Therapists use play-based and child-centered approaches to make therapy engaging and effective. Each session is personalized to meet your child’s unique needs and may include:
Sensory Integration Therapy – to improve body awareness and sensory regulation
Fine & Gross Motor Skill Training – to enhance strength, grip, and coordination
Handwriting & Classroom Readiness Activities – for better academic participation
Self-care Skill Development – building independence in dressing, eating, and grooming
Parent Guidance – practical strategies to continue learning at home
Our goal is to help children become more confident, independent, and ready to take on everyday challenges with ease.
