Occupational Therapy

“Every child’s potential is within reach — it just needs the right hands to guide it.”

With early support and the right guidance, challenges in daily activities and motor skills can be improved and we’re here to help make that journey smoother.

At Light Child Development Centre, we’ve supported many children and families in strengthening essential life skills through Occupational Therapy. We understand that every child develops differently with unique abilities, comfort levels, and learning styles.

Our therapists create a warm, engaging, and structured environment where children build independence, confidence, and coordination through play-based activities and sensory experiences  helping them succeed at home, school, and beyond.

What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational Therapy (OT) helps children build the skills they need for everyday activities  from holding a pencil and dressing independently to improving focus and coordination. It supports physical, sensory, and cognitive development, helping children participate confidently at home, school, and play.

When Does a Child Need Occupational Therapy?

Children may benefit from OT if they show signs such as:

  • Difficulty with fine motor skills (e.g., writing, buttoning clothes)

  • Poor balance, coordination, or posture

  • Trouble focusing or following instructions

  • Sensitivity to touch, sound, or movement

  • Delays in self-care skills like eating or dressing

  • Challenges in playing or interacting with peers

Early identification and therapy can make daily activities easier and more enjoyable for the child.
